Gable Mount Solar Attic Fans
Gable Mount Solar Attic Fans
Unlike our integrated panel solar fans which are mounted on the roof top, the gable fan is mounted against a gable or passive roof vent on the inside of the attic to push air from the inside-out. The solar panel is then mounted on top of the roof toward the south or south-west. This model can be used with any roofing material and is especially handy for those who have a tile roof with existing passive vents. The gable fan can be mounted underneath an existing vent, eliminating the need for further penetration into the roof.
Supplied with 15' of wire to connect the fan to the solar panel. If you need more that 15' please contact us upon ordering.
Experience has taught us that the more air you move, the better the cooling effect. Therefor, don't hesitate to oversize the fan for the space you have.
MATERIALS:
Housing: UV-stabilized ABS. Same stuff quality kayaks are made from. Meant to withstand anything the weather throws at it. Will NOT break down in the sun. Let’s face it, you want something on your roof that isn’t going to leave rust stains down your roofing material after a few years. The competition likes to use cheap, painted, corrosive metal. ABS is more costly, but a no-brainer for outdoor products.
Solar Panel: Monocrystalline and incredibly efficient at producing electricity for the motor. We keep our products up to date with the latest and greatest solar technology.
Fan Motor: State-of-the-art brushless motor rated for 25 years.
Fan Blade: Poly-carbon. Quiet and reliable. More durable than metal, without the harmonic noise. Metal can get bent, and a bent fan blade means more wear on the motor bearings. Each fan blade is dynamically balanced by hand to ensure the bearings last as long as possible.
Fasteners: Every nut, bolt, screw, rivet, washer…etc is stainless steel to give our products an anti-corrosive advantage against varying climates.
Thermostat: Turns the fan on at 80*F and off at 65*F if the sun is out. This prevents the fan from running when it doesn’t need to. It also extends the life of the motor. If you wish to have the fan operate regardless of temperature, contact us upon ordering to have the thermostat removed prior to shipping.
